Chemours Science Saturday
Join us for a STEM filled afternoon of science fun! Our STEM partners from Chemours will be performing demonstrations on cryogenics, the physics of dealing with the production and effects of very low temperatures. Five fun demonstrations will be performed by a Chemours' Chemist and end with a sweet treat! Recommended for 4th graders and up. NO REFUNDS will be issued if unable to attend. Cost is $10 per child. Children's Day at Discovery World on Market
This brand-new event created for the community by WVU Medicine Children’s and WVU Medicine Camden Clark Medical Center is dedicated to raising awareness and support for the life-saving care provided to children in the Mid-Ohio Valley.
The community is invited to Discovery World from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm for a free afternoon of exhibits and family-friendly activities that highlight living a healthy lifestyle.
Pumpkin Making Class
Join us for another DIY maker class taught by Jackie Sapio to learn how to make your own fuzzy pumpkins! Cost is $30 per person and class size is limited! Jack O' "Lantern" Class - October 4
Let's get in the Halloween "Spirit" building our own wooden Jack-o-Lantern Lantern!
This class will be covering some basic woodworking concepts, and a brief intro into laser cutting.
This will be a work at your own pace class, with 2 hours allotted!
This class is geared for 8 up to adults! | Cost is $25 per lantern | 4pm-6pm
Masquerade at the Museum After Hours Event
Tickets are $25 and are now on SALE! Join us for a hauntingly good time on October 19th from 8 - 10 pm for our "After Hours" Masquerade at the Museum event. This exclusive event will feature music, food, cocktails, and more! Masquerade masks and costumes are encouraged but not required. Prizes will be awarded to the best costumes. This mysterious event is for adults only 18 and up. ID required at the door. NO Refunds will be issued.
Izzy's Fall Fest
Come celebrate fall with us at Izzy’s Fall Fest! Families can enjoy a free movie with popcorn and a hot chocolate bar, compete in a pumpkin carving contest and participate in Fall STEAM activities. Museum tickets or membership is required for Fall Fest participants.
Fall Family Mini Photo Sessions
Discovery World on Market is planning a fundraiser! Our Fall Family Photo Mini Sessions are a great way to capture your family memories. Our 20-minute mini sessions are $100 for 5 digital images. Please arrive on time for your scheduled session that will be held here at Discovery World on Market. Students enrolled in the 3D Printer Camp will have a fun, immersive educational experience! This camp gets to the “nuts and bolts”, literally, as they learn all about 3D Printing while building their own printers (that they will take home, of course!).

Izzy's Summer Olympics
Kids Club is back! Enjoy a night out while the kid's hangout with us at Discovery World.
Kids will compete in a variety of STEM games as teams, enjoy an opening ceremony with a snack, and participate in a medal ceremony after the games end.

DIY Jibbitz Bracelet Class
The kids are going to love this fun Science class! Learn how to make your own Jibbitz bracelet! Kids will learn how to make a mold and cast their own unique decoration through this fun Jibbitz making class! Cost is $15 per child AND includes admission for the day to stay and play at the museum following class (parents will need to purchase a ticket to stay and play.) Class is recommended for children over 8 years of age. Jibbitz class will be from 2 - 3:30pm in our Discovery Zone room. Space limited to the first 40 registrations!
Laser Tag at the Museum
Join Discovery World on Market on for our final Summer Fun Friday on July 26th from 5 to 7:30pm for Family Laser Tag Fun! Cost is $2 per person, per game. Kids and parents will enjoy a fun, playful experience in our Design Studio with 10-minute rounds of laser tag.
Teen and Adult games will run from 8 - 10 pm. Cost is $12 per person and includes 4 game tickets. Teens are 15 and older.

RoboCamp!
Come join us at the Mid-Ohio Valley RoboCamp!
Discovery World and local FIRST Robotics Team 7515 Dark Side Robotics have partnered to offer a one-week, hands-on robotics day camp at Discovery World in Parkersburg.
WHO IS IT FOR?
All STEM-interested 11-14 year-olds are invited to join the fun and learn about building and coding robots using VEX IQ robot kits. No prior robotics experience needed.
THE ITINERARY
Over a span of 5 afternoons, mentors from Dark Side Robotics will guide the camp participants on a (robotic) voyage filled with fun team activities, robot construction, and coding challenges.
Campers will work in small teams to build VEX IQ robots, write code to autonomously operate their robots, and test their building and coding skills in friendly competition against other teams and their robots.
WHERE?
The camp will take place at Discovery World on Market (900 Market Street, Parkersburg, WV) from July 8th – 12th, from 4:30 to 7:30 pm. Camp cost will be $100, plus $20 for a camp t-shirt (bring t-shirt money on the first day).

Chunky Blanket Class
In this class, participants 16 and up will learn how to create a cozy, adorable, chunky baby blanket. Whether you're a seasoned crafter or a complete beginner, this class is perfect for anyone looking to learn a new skill. During the class, you'll be guided through the process of starting and finishing the blanket, as well as how to seamlessly change colors to create beautiful patterns. All materials needed to complete the project will be supplied, so all you need to bring is your creativity and willingness to learn. Join Discovery World on Market celebrate Father’s Day with this hands-on activity.
